I'MPERFECT
The body is a canvas where imprinted experiences, pains, transformations visible through scars, deformations and amputations. Are these women less beautiful than who have body without any signs? The photographic project «I'MPERFECT» focuses on unconventional beauty of women who birth or have a body often judged «imperfect». For them «imperfect» is only a verbal time, something that belongs to the past, adding a simple apostrophe. Every sign on their body is a test passed through prejudice, ignorance and insensitivity. And with these photos they are ready to show their inner beauty and tell their story. A story that always begins with the same words: «I'm perfect».

Il corpo è una tela dove sono impressi il vissuto, le esperienze, il dolore, le trasformazioni. Una tela a volte anche involontaria dove i segni che ci feriscono non sono le cicatrici, le deformazioni o le amputazioni ma dallo sguardo degli altri. Sguardi che nascono da pregiudizi, ignoranza e poca sensibilità.
Il progetto fotografico «I'MPERFECT» si concentra sulla bellezza non convenzionale e standardizzata di donne che per nascita o vissuto hanno un corpo giudicato spesso «imperfetto». Ma per loro «imperfetto» è solo un tempo verbale, qualcosa che appartiene al passato, qualcosa da mettere alle proprie spalle. Ogni segno sul loro corpo è una prova. E attraverso queste fotografie sono pronte a mostrare e raccontare la loro storia. Una storia che ha sempre inizio con la stessa frase: «I'm perfect», sono perfetta così.
Ogni donna è stata fotografata nella sua abitazione o luogo di lavoro.
